Created for all who hear the lake’s call. Wake on the Lake was founded by Stacey Leach, a proud Saginaw, Michigan native, and member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Her lifelong connection to water began with childhood camping trips across northern Michigan, deepened during a transformative summer on Mackinac Island, and continues through cherished vacations with family and friends. Driven by a passion for lakeside living and the memories made, Stacey created Wake on the Lake to bring together people who feel most alive near the water -those who love to explore, unwind, and embrace Michigan’s freshwater lakes. It’s more than just a website- it’s a tribute to the tranquil moments on the water when the soul whispers, ‘you’re home.’
